Referrals to the Sexual Behaviours Clinic (SBC) 

We understand that some people may not want to participate in our research study (The Prevention Study), or may not meet the criteria for this study (e.g. females). We also know that some people have other problematic sexual interests that are unrelated to children.

If you would like to receive treatment for sexual interest in children without participating in research, or if you would like treatment for other problematic sexual interests/behaviours, there is a solution! 

Print out a copy of this referral form and bring it to your family doctor or a walk-in clinic doctor.

  • You don't need to give them any additional information about your sexual interests.
  • If you're asked for this information, feel free to not answer and take the referral form to another doctor. 
  • Once your doctor has completed the referral, they must fax it to the number provided on the form.
  • You will then need to wait to be contacted by the SBC to discuss scheduling an appointment.

You will only be contacted about scheduling an appointment after this referral form has been faxed by your doctor and received by the SBC. The referral process often takes 2-3 weeks, so please don’t be concerned if you don’t hear from us right away. Unfortunately we are unable to accept walk-in clients.

Physicians

We encourage family and walk-in clinic doctors to print out copies of our referral form, in case they see patients who require treatment in the SBC. 

Physicians who may come into contact with people suffering from pedophilia can also Contact Us to request free copies of our posters, brochure, and business card for distribution.
